The Chennai Mega Streets Project, is an undertaking by the Greater Chennai Corporation to redevelop 110 km of streets in the city in six packages. 25 km of the streets – 2 to 5 KM from each package will be developed as a quick win.
Jana Urban Space Foundation is working on the redevelopment of 15 km of streets within the neighbourhood of Nungambakkam.
Some of the roads being re-designed include Radhakrishnan Salai, Cathedral Road, Nungumbakkam High Road, Khader Nawaz Khan Road and Greams Road.
