Located 20 KM south of the city centre, Electronics City suffers from connectivity issues to the city as well as internal mobility challenges. The mobility master plan was formulated post extensive site surveys, analysis and stakeholder consultations and lists out solutions which improve both multimodal connectivity to the estate as well as the mobility patterns within the estate. Improved connectivity via rail, metro, shuttle services, bus and road were explored and detailed out to improve connectivity between the estate and the rest of the city. Traffic management plans, one way loops, improved road infrastructure including pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure, parking management and placemaking were some of the proposals detailed out to improve mobility within the estate.
