Based on the success of Shirur Park Road, the first Tender SURE Road in Hubli, another 12 KM of Tender S.U.R.E roads are getting built in the city as part of the Smart Cities initiative. These roads have been redesigned with uniform travel lanes, continuous evenly paved footpaths, designated cycle tracks, organised underground utilities contained within the footpaths, safe intersections, good lighting, robust materials, organised parking, signage and public space and landscape inclusion.
Once complete, along with Shirur Park road they will result in a 17 KM strong walkable – cyclable network connecting to the BRTS corridor, Airport, and several educational institutions.
